Good Citizens The Good Citizen tests
are designed by the Kennel Club to encourage owners to be responsible
for their dogs and make themselves and their pets "Good Citizens". We
run two or three Tests per year with special training classes held
a few weeks before each test. Further information please

The Club is Affiliated to the Kennel Club of
Great Britain and has a team of highly experienced Training Instructors.
It is a non Profit making Club, which allows it to keep course fees to a
minimum, which are used to cover running costs. Club Rules

The next Training course

just come along on the evening. The first session is free to give new
member the chance to try it out first - without obligation.
The Clubs Annual General
Meeting was held on 16th
March. It was reported that the club had another successful
year, although class numbers had fluctuated and at some
times been lower than normal. The three retiring Committee
members, Sue Weller, Judy Barnett and Sandra Ward, who
were thanked for their service. New members Val Blissett,
Debbie Cook and Helen Sargent were welcomed to the
committee.
Good Citizens tests took place on
17th March. Congratulations go to Jacky Saunders & Dee
Scrivens who achieved the Gold award and Pam Thompson, Chris Whittington
and Fred Fitzgibbons who passed Silver. There will
be a Bronze Good Citizens test on 13th. April, please
contact Janet Baldwin for details.
As most will already be aware,
the Annual
Companion Dog Show will be heldon Sunday 10th June, at the Chalcraft Lane Jubilee fields. Each
year the proceeds support
ournominated charity,
which this year is the Hounds for Heroes.
Once again we will be having both our own stalls and those of outside
interests. If you have a business
and
would like a pitch this will cost £10 for an outside plot. If you
are interested in sponsoring any aspects of the Show, could you pleasehave a look at the lists displayed in the Hall every class
night and add your name and the amount you would like to donate.
